Happy 26th Anniversary to Us
“Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace be with you “
— John 20:19
These are the words Jesus said to his disciples when He first appeared to them after resurrection. The disciples were gathered behind locked doors. Fear had consumed them.Their hearts were troubled, their minds restless, and their future uncertain.
The One they loved had been crucified. The world around them mocked their hope and silenced their faith. They felt abandoned, afraid, isolated, and lost.
And then—Jesus came.
Not after the storm ended.
Not after they became strong again.
Not after they figured everything out.
He entered right into their fear, stood in the middle of their chaos, and spoke the very words their weary souls needed:
“Peace be with you.”
What is peace?
Peace is not a life without storms.
Peace is the presence of God within the storm. It is the calm assurance that even when everything around us is shaking, God is still near.
It is resting in His presence when answers are unclear.
It is having strength when the heart should have broken.
Peace through the storms—when life rages and waves rise high, yet His hand keeps us from sinking.
Peace when you are afraid—when fear whispers louder than faith, but His voice gently reminds us, “Do not be afraid.”
Peace when you are lonely—when no one seems to understand, yet His presence fills the emptiness within us.
Peace when you’re lost—when direction fades and nothing makes sense, yet He still leads us step by step.
Peace when you’re isolated—when you feel forgotten, unseen, or misunderstood, yet deeply known and held by Him.
The disciples experienced all these emotions.
People mocked them. People doubted them. Many believed their faith was only a story. Yet Jesus gave them a peace that surpassed all understanding—a peace the world could neither explain nor take away.
And today, here we are as a family who experienced this peace and His abundant grace humbled nothing but only with gratitude
We have faced storms that should have shattered us.
We have endured pain that could have silenced our praise.
We have walked through seasons of fear, loneliness, rejection, uncertainty, and tears.
Yet somehow… we are still standing.
Still smiling.
Still worshipping.
Still lifting our heads high in the presence of God.
People wondered how., they said everything was made up stories .
How can someone go through so much and still have joy?
How can someone carry pain and still carry peace?
The answer is His mercy.
Because through every broken moment, God remained faithful.
He carried us when we were weak.
He comforted us when no one else understood.
He gave us peace when the world expected us to fall apart.
And today, our hearts overflow with gratitude.
Gratitude for the peace that held us together in silence.
Gratitude for the mercy that met us in every storm.
Gratitude for the Savior who still walks into fearful hearts and says:
“Peace be with you.”
Not because life has been easy,
but because He has been faithful.
