Rest,Relax,Rejuvenate

In this busy world, we often hear complaints like people are too busy to get some time to relax. Sometimes I even wonder how I do all these things by myself. Our body works like a machine that operates 24/7. I think most of the times it depends on us how to find time to relax or take a break. We often rely on ourselves and thinks I run after everything that I’m supposed to because I’m energetic or I’m not lazy. But do we realize that this energy is our Lord’s gift. If he closes his eyes upon us for a second, we may not be able to move and function, there goes all our powers or ability to do our responsibilities. Hence isn’t it important to take care of our body and soul and find time to rejuvenate. 1 Corinthians 6:1 says “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” Hence it is our responsibility to protect and preserve the temple where Holy Spirit dwells. Hence how can we fuel up ourselves? Begin your day with a Bible verse, a couple minutes of praying or meditation. I know it’s not always possible to find time, but if there is a will there is a way. Do we skip brushing our teeth because we are too busy or let our loved one skip morning tea or breakfast because we are too busy. The answer would be No, because we know those activities are essential to keep our body clean and healthy. If we are that much concerned about it, just imagine that body as the temple of God or Holy Spirit. Aren’t we supposed to take care of it more cautiously? In Psalms 91:1 it says “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty”. So let’s find time to rest and relax in the shadow of our God who provides us with the time, strength and opportunities to run around and live our lives.
