Generation to Generations

Today I came across an article where the author was telling how she found her great grandmother's letter saying how she used to pray for her grand kids and great grand kids. I also can proudly claim an inheritance of a praying grand mother and mother. I have seen my grand mother praying for her grand kids, each by name (she had 15 grand kids) . I can definitely say, what I am today is all because of God's mercy toward their prayers. But as a mom of three, have I took that responsibility of praying for generations serious enough? . In our busy life, are we loosing our generations ? Most of the time prayers are cut short as we are too busy to provide our kids all the worldly pleasures. But are we spending time to pray for their family and their kids . Lets take time to invest for their future, not in the worldly wealth, but for their spiritual nourishment , so that we can leave a God fearing descendants .
In 2 Timothy 1:5, we can see Paul has the assurance about Timothy's faith because he was raised by 2 women (his mother and grand mother) who were strong in faith. How about our kids? Will they reflect our faith when they interact with others. If not, its time to analyze ourselves as a mom.Are we passing our baton of faith to our kids as we gained it from our ancestors? As Paul praying for Colossians , Lets pray for our Generations
(Colossians 1:9-12) " We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light." Amen!!!
